Tournament System
Tournament will be played according to the Swiss System, 11 rounds. Tournament rules for the ECU European Individual Championships are applied.
Rate of play is 90 minutes for 40 moves + 30 minutes for rest of the game with an increment of 30 seconds for every move starting from move 1. Default time 15 minutes.
Ranking and Tie-Braking Criteria
The order of players that finish with the same number of points shall be determined by applying tie-breaking criteria according to the ECU Scoring and tie-breaking system:
- Results of direct encounters between the tied players (If all
the tied players have met each other); - Buchholz Cut 1;
- Buchholz;
- The greater number of games played with black;
- The greater number of wins.
